Over Half a Million KRG Beneficiaries Paid Digitally Through MyAccount

Erbil, Kurdistan Region — The KRG Ministry of Finance and Economy says more than 500,000 civil servants and pensioners received their July salaries through MyAccount, the government’s digital payroll program.

The uptake among pensioners rose sharply this month, increasing from about 20,000 to nearly 45,000 across the region.

July Salary Coverage

  • Erbil: 274,000 beneficiaries

  • Slemani: 83,000 beneficiaries

  • Duhok: 144,500 beneficiaries

  • Total: 501,500 beneficiaries

To date, more than 900,000 public-sector beneficiaries have opened bank accounts under MyAccount. The program now supports access to cash through 450+ ATMs deployed across the Kurdistan Region, providing 24-hour service.

Launched in 2023 by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani as part of the Ninth Cabinet’s agenda, MyAccount aims to modernize banking services and expand financial inclusion.
