Agit Kabayel Stops Damian Knyba to Defend Interim WBC Heavyweight Title

Agit Kabayel made a powerful statement on Saturday night, stopping Damian Knyba in the third round to successfully defend his interim WBC heavyweight title in front of a roaring home crowd in Germany.

Competing at the Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen, Kabayel returned to fight on German soil for the first time in nearly three years — and looked fully at ease from the opening bell. The first round was competitive, with both heavyweights exchanging shots and testing range, but it didn’t take long for Agit Kabayel to assert control.

As the fight progressed, Agit Kabayel increased the pace and began breaking Knyba down with cleaner punches, stronger combinations, and superior ring pressure. His patience paid off in the third round when a sharp right hand visibly hurt Knyba and shifted the momentum decisively.

Sensing the opening, Agit Kabayel pressed forward, unleashing a sustained barrage that included heavy overhand rights and close-range uppercuts. Knyba attempted to fire back but was forced onto the ropes under constant pressure. After another clean right hand landed, the referee stepped in to stop the fight, sending the crowd into celebration.

The third-round TKO not only secured Kabayel’s title defense but further reinforced his reputation as one of the heavyweight division’s most dangerous and disciplined contenders. With another dominant performance added to his record, Kabayel continues to build momentum as he pushes toward full world-title contention.
